Improve Your World
With spiritual growth comes a natural desire to improve your world and help others around you. This sense of being a responsible participant of the planet grows with the understanding that each of us is a part of the Oneness, an integral contributor to the Whole.
As you re-experience your past lives, take a peek into your possible future lives, and gain a taste of your lives between lives, you will attain a deeper understanding of just how interconnected we all are -- not only with each other, but with the whole of creation around us. Your sense of being a part of that Creation increases exponentially with past life regression work.
Taking steps to improve your world feels like a joy, not a burden. Find your own natural level of participation to start with. Realize that your commitment can -- and probably will -- change over time.Remember that it's okay to start slowly. You're not

carrying the weight of the whole world on your shoulders. Do what you can do, and that's enough at any time. Even if all you can manage is a positive affirmation about the well-being of those around you -- that's fine. All that positive energy, thought, and action steps adds up with the intentions and actions of others.
The 100th Monkey Story
Once upon a time, on a little island in the Pacific, the monkeys loved sweet potatoes. They'd learned to dig them out of the ground and enjoyed eating them in the sunshine or under the shade of local trees. The only problem was that the sweet potatoes were gritty with soil. None of the monkeys liked eating the dirt, but the sweet potatoes were so delicious, they ate them anyway. One day, one of the monkeys decided to carry his sweet potato with him on a walk. The monkey came to a stream and started across it. But he dropped the sweet potato on the way. It splashed in the water and began to sink. Not one to readily relinquish his treat, the monkey retrieved the sweet potato and, once on the other side of the stream, sat down to eat.
And noticed immediately that it wasn't gritty! The dirt had washed off in the stream. The monkey tested his theory with a few more dirty potatoes and then, being a good community member, showed his family and friends how to wash the grit off their potatoes. Soon word had spread to all the monkeys on the island and they all dipped their sweet potatoes in water before biting into them. That's not the most amazing part of the story, though. The most surprising thing is that when the 100th monkey on the island washed his sweet potato -- monkeys on surrounding islands all started doing the same thing! And no, there was no monkey iPod to spread the news. There seems to be a phenomenon at work in the world: a scale-tipping effect. As soon as enough monkeys -- or people -- take a similar action, everyone will automatically join in. The information appears to spread through the air, or ethos, or collective unconscious. Therefore, the more people who care about the world around them and act in accordance with that care, the higher the chance that others will do so, also. It boils down to: Could you be the 100th monkey with the action you take to improve your world? Neither that hundredth monkey nor you need be aware of where you are in the count -- just remember that your efforts, small or large, actually make a difference. Whether through prayer or action, whether you focus on your local neighborhood or the whole planet, every thought andeffort contributes to a better world.
