Past Life Regression Therapists
How to Choose Your Tour Guide through Time
What do you look for when choosing among past life regression therapists to guide you through your past lives? Or to show you the way to your possible future life?
You want to be as careful and to ask as many questions of past life regression therapists as you would if you were signing on for psychotherapy or for spiritual or alternative healing sessions. You want someone who is trained by an experienced practitioner, certified in the mental health or healing professions, and who understands past life regressions through personal experience.

Here is a list - by no means exhaustive - to guide you when you choose among past life regression therapists:
- Is he or she trained in past life regressions, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, clinical social work, or life coaching?
Why? At times, you'll experience emotionally charged past lives, or discover past incidents that explain or otherwise trigger emotionally charged experiences in your present life. You need a past life regression therapist who is skilled enough to help you manage your feelings, knows how to re-center you, and can assist you in working through the feelings raised by the situation - or at least recognize that you need a referral to a psychotherapist (and can provide that referral).
While issues of anger, fear, anxiety, panic attacks, or depression are often spontaneously alleviated by past life regression sessions, these emotions sometimes need talk-therapy to release from their long-standing presence in your life.
- Is the fee schedule affordable?
Cost of your past life regression depends to some extent on your geographical location. Fees for local psychotherapists and regression fees should be comparable. If the cost is much higher - or much lower - than the average, you may not be talking with an experienced and certified practitioner.
- Are fees reduced for groups of sessions? And for participation in group past life regressions?
Your first session or two require more time. As you become comfortable with your therapist and the process, your induction into the trance state will be easier. The more sessions you book with your past lives guide, the less they should cost, or you might agree to an adjustment of the length of the session. A group session is commonly priced lower than private work.
- Has the practitioner been referred by people you know and trust?
This isn't always possible, but is the best-case scenario. You can always search their website and get a sense of their approach, or conduct a phone interview before making an appointment. Be reasonable, though. You're speaking with a professional, and while a 15-minute phone conversation (you may need to schedule one) or short email should not be a problem, taking an hour of their time is unreasonable. If you have that many questions, ask for a consultation, which is often charged at a reduced fee.
- Does the therapist possess a friendly, nonjudgmental attitude?
Whether you were Napoleon or Napoleon's boot shiner, you want a past life regression therapist who's not only free of judgment themselves, but who also helps you remain nonjudgmental about your own past lives. The important part is not your social status or renown, but what you learned from your past and how you can apply those lessons to your present life.
- Does the therapist create an environment in which you feel physically and emotionally comfortable and safe?
This is an important point. For you to relax enough to enter a hypnotic trance state - which is required for your past life regression - you must feel comfortable. You'll be closing your eyes and experiencing a progressive relaxation. If you're on a chair that hurts your back, or increasingly nervous due to noise in the room, you won't be able to travel back into your previous lifetimes.
- Do you feel safe with this person?
If at any time during your session you feel physically, emotionally, or sexually threatened or unduly stressed by the past life regression therapist, end your session immediately.
You will be sitting or lying down with your eyes closed for most of the session, and you must have a feeling of safety and trust - or your higher self will not allow you to relax enough to experience your past lives.
In the case that you are actually threatened (which is, thankfully, rare) physically, emotionally, or sexually, immediately leave. Report the problem to the therapist's professional review board.
This is a serious and scary issue, but, as I said, rare. If you have further questions,
just write a note to me
about it.
Do remember that some therapists push the emotional envelope a bit, which can be helpful to you. However, extreme emotional discomfort is not necessary for personal growth.
- Does the therapist offer follow-up contact for a limited time, which has been agreed upon in advance?
A short, post-session follow-up call or email should be scheduled as part of your session for feedback and any questions you might have. At times, you might choose an additional session to explore and help integrate any intense past life regression experience. Discuss beforehand what the fee will be for a non-hypnosis session.
If you have any further questions about choosing a past life regression therapist in your area, feel free to
ask me.
I'll do my best to help you find the right person.
My own practice is presently in Nashville, TN and in South Florida, although I am available to travel for large groups or seminars. I'll be happy to
