You become aware that those around you also struggle to learn their soul's lessons and that it all doesn't happen at once. You also become clear on the fact that every person is at a different point on their soul's growth continuum.Though everyone may strive for perfection, reaching it may require a few more go-arounds. You gain wisdom looking back through your own reincarnations and come to realize that everyone around you is in the same situation: living with long pasts and long futures in which their souls learn, change, and grow. This perspective tends to change your relationships for the better. You're no longer sitting in judgment of others because you realize that, most likely, you've "been there" yourself. The old saying: Don't judge another till you've walked a mile in their shoes/mocassins, takes on new meaning. Most likely you have walked that same mile in those same shoes. Or will, next time around. Don't worry if your mind tends to judge. In New York, where I used to live, in the days before digital Metrocards, we used to say: That and a token will get you on the subway. Meaning that whatever it was you said or thought, it had no value in reality at all. That's how I, personally, retrained my own judging mind. Listen to your thoughts. Every time you catch yourself judging someone else (or yourself, for that matter), think: "That and a token will get me on the subway." After a while, your mind learns not to bother judging.
