Abundance and Prosperity
Aren't the Same

I know you made the distinction here between abundance and prosperity, but then you went on to equate the two. I don't think that's true; I don't think they're the same.
Abundance is having a lot of something. The way the planet is going, we're depleting our resources rapidly. When individuals live with an abundance of anything, other individuals or the Earth end up with a depletion or lack of those same resources.
Prosperity isn't just about being comfortable financially. It's about having what you need to be comfortable in many ways. Anything can "prosper," not just people. Crops can prosper, for instance, which means that they're growing well and widely.
When I look at the environment and what we're doing to it, I often think that abundance and prosperity can't go together anymore. When too many people live in abundance, versus comfort, then the planet can't prosper. There's only so much to go around.
I'm all for an abundance of joy, happiness, friendships, and good experiences, for sure. But having an abundance of material things - I just think it's not good for the planet, and, therefore, not good for us spiritually.
